Interactive Installation: The Perfect Human

A Dynamic Interactive Narrative 2011

Users place a series of empty wooden frames, (visual clips), and speaker cut outs (audio clips) onto a multi-touch surface to construct a unique dynamic narrative. Users gain some authorship by having ultimate control over the order and placement of the elements of the story. Changes in the proximity and relationship from one element of the narrative to the next affect the overall meaning and continuously create multiple unique versions of The Perfect Human.

The Perfect Human Narrative pulls visual inspiration from Jorgen Leth’s 1967 short film The Perfect Human. It was created using an IR multi-touch surface, processing, reacTIVision, fiducials, and a projector.
